Last night on Countdown with Keith Olbermann, Ken Burns (pictured left) read these words as tribute to Senator Ted Kennedy. The words, from Henry V by William Shakespeare, offer food for thought for all of us.
A good leg will fail; a straight back will stoop; a black beard will turn white; a curled pate will grow bald; a fair face will wither; a full eye will wax hollow: but a good heart is the sun and the moon; or, rather, the sun, and not the moon; for it shines bright and never changes, but keeps his course truly.

Dear Ann,
My sister is also named Ann. I heard Ken Burns and could see how visibly moved he was. I too am beyond heart-broken, as my own mortality seems trivial in light of such truly giant humans as the Kennedys.
Today I wanted to look up the HENRY V quote (to my credit, my sieve-like memory actually functions with Shakespeare at times), and the very first Google result gave me YOU!.
Thank you.
